     JAMES QUINN STILWELL PULASKI — James Quinn Stilwell, age 81 of 5403 Empire Street, Pulaski passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 2003 in the Pulaski Health Care Center. Born Mar. 24, 1922 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson Stilwell and Minnie Houseman Stilwell. Four brothers and one sister also preceded him in death. He was retired from Sears with 13 years of service. He was of Baptist faith. Surviving are: his devoted wife of 58 years, Ila Mae Swecker Stilwell, Pulaski; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth (Dawn) and George D. Dearman, Meridian, Miss.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Linda Stilwell, Dublin, Guy Nelson and Fern Stilwell, Roanoke; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Laura Bell and husband, James Thomas, Roanoke, Minnie Mae Surratt, Hillsville; brother, Isaac and wife, Sylvia Stilwell, Hillsville; sister-in-law, Winters Stilwell, Galax; several nieces and nephews; two very special friends, Doug Phibbs of Pulaski and David Watson of Lilydale. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning 11 a.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Johnny Howlett and Rev. L. J. Rippey officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Carroll County. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements.
